I have been married to my wife, Linda, for about 27 years. I have a sister in Tucson and two brothers, one in New Hampshire and another in Washington D.C. Linda has three brothers: two in the Phoenix area and one in Tucson. Linda's mom lives in Tucson, but seems to spend most of her time in Phoenix.
We don't have any children, but we do have two West Highland Wite Terriers, ninteen nieces and nephews, and two grand nephews. Needless to say, the Leahy and Maccabe contirbutions to the gene pool have been covered without our help.
I've been playing ice hockey since 1967, when they re-opened the ice rink in Tucson. I didn't play too much while I was in graduate school in Atlanta, but I did get to see the Flames while they were there. Tickets were cheap and readily available.
I've been playing in an over-30 league for longer than I care to admit. (Quite) A while back, I met the primary qualification for joining the over-40 travel team and have been to a few tournaments. The best tournaments are the "Snoopy Senior World Hockey Tournament." Every year, Charles Shultz invites teams from around the world to a tournament on his ice in Santa Rosa, California. It's a solid week of hockey. Teams are grouped by age and ability. The youngsters start at 40+. In 1998 they're adding a 75 and over division! We sent a team from Albuquerque in 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, and 2002. Charles Schultz passed away in 2000, the tournament was not held in 2001 and resumed in 2002.

In 1998, UNM formed a division 2 club team, the UNM Ice Wolves, and I served as an assistant coach. Here's a picture of the UNM club team.
