Scholarships

New Mexico Enginering Foundation Scholarships

The NM Engineering Foundation (NMEF) is offering several scholarships this year for UNM Engineering Students.

Internal SOE Deadline: February 27, 2009 at NOON

Dr. Fleddermann, SOE's Associate Dean, has agreed to ENDORSE all applications from SOE students who submit applications through our Engineering Student Services (ESS) office located in the Centennial Engineering Center-Room 2080 by 12:00 PM on Friday, February 27, 2009. Once endorsed, we will submit these applications directly to the NMEF.

*Only one application is necessary per student (even if you are applying for more than one scholarship). Please read carefully the criteria/selection sections for each of the scholarships listed, as some scholarships require that you include additional documentation.

APPLICATION: The application package is available for download (Word format), but hard copies are also available at the ESS office Centennial Engineering Center-Room 2080.

Computer Science Scholarships

The Computer Science Department currently offers three scholarships specific to Computer Science majors. Please see the department for criteria and application guidelines.

1. VanDyke Software Computer Science Scholarship — This scholarship is intended to support undergraduate Computer Science students in the School of Engineering. Recipients of this scholarship receive funds each semester toward his/her educational expenses.
   
   This scholarship is made possible by VanDyke Software.
   
   
2. Computer Science Merit Scholarship — This scholarship is intended for incoming freshman students that are interested in declaring Computer Science as his/her major. Recipients of this scholarship receive funds each semester toward his/her educational expenses.
   
   This scholarship is made possible by The New Mexico Information Technology and Software Association.
