After some thought , Ive zeroed in on a campground.Cades Cove - the most popular spot at the national forest suits both campers and backpackers.Depending on the level of interest , we can have a backpacking trip to one of the green sites , namely 11,15,16 or 17.It will be one night hike , which would be a loop involving the Abrams falls(We cover close to 8 miles a day - 16 miles total ).Im also trying to get a reservation on the historic Appalachian Trail - Spence field. We could do either one of these hikes. Reasons for picking Cades Cove

Campsites 78 and 80 both 6 person sites , have been reserved for the 28th , 29th and 30th
